This is an exciting and exclusive two-week tour of ancient Egypt from July 23-August 6, 2027. On this expedition to Egypt, you will see all the iconic sites including a visit to the brand-new Grand Egyptian Museum. You will have direct entry to sites that are not typically open to the public. This is a once-in-a-lifetime luxury trip to explore Egypt with two Egyptologists as your guides and supplemental lectures or visits arranged with famous archaeologists, authors, and experts in the field of Egyptology.
Discover the beauty and majesty of ancient Egypt culture by touring sites such as the massive Karnak Temple, Luxor Temple, Abu Simbel, Valley of Kings, and many other amazing sites throughout the old and new Kingdoms. Additionally, Direct Travel has been granted special permission by the Minister of Antiquities allowing our guests to stand between the paws of the Great Sphinx and gain exclusive access to places closed to the public. We will be joined by the world’s most famous archaeologist, Dr. Zahi Hawass at the Giza Plateau and other special guests throughout the tour that include world-renowned scholars, museum directors, or other high-profile locals. The solar eclipse portion of this trip will be led by Dr. Carolyn Sumners of the Houston Museum of Natural Science, a veteran of 13 solar eclipses.

In particular, viewing the total solar eclipse will be weather dependent, and there is always a chance that passengers will not be able to view totality or view it only for a short period of time. Travel Protection Plan coverage is required for this program upon deposit. Pricing for such coverage is additional to the base fare and is calculated based on resident state/province and age of participants. Outside the US or if you choose to buy your own insurance the minimum coverage is for $1,000,000 USD emergency evacuation and repatriation and $50,000USD emergency medical PER PERSON.
